Dr. Kruthika Swaminathan began her dental career at the prestigious 5 year dental program at SDM College of Dental Sciences in India prior to obtaining her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Buffalo. Dr. Kruthika also has her Masters in Public Health from the University of Southern California School of Medicine and has completed an advanced clinical training program in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at UCLA.

She enjoys treating both adults and children and her training has made her proficient in many facets of dentistry including root canal therapy, porcelain/ceramic crowns and bridges, implant restorations, cosmetic bondings and fillings, periodontal care for gum disease, and extractions. 

Having just moved from Pennsylvania to New Jersey, Dr. Kruthika is beyond excited to be a part of the Smile Today team and serve the Rutherford and surrounding communities! Her number one goal is patient comfort and care, while also providing quality dental treatment.

Outside of work, Dr. Kruthika is an avid reader, loves exploring new cuisines and enjoys traveling with her husband.
