Dr. Stefanie Scholz

Dr. Scholz

Dr. Stefanie Scholz knew she wanted to be a dentist from the age of 9. Her fascination began with visits to her family dentist as she got a firsthand peak into the dental world. While observing her dad’s dental appointments, her curiosity grew and often times she had to be warned not to lean in too close or else she’d fall on top of him!

Dr. Scholz grew up in South Hackensack, NJ and throughout high school and college dedicated her time to her two greatest passions – science and soccer. She graduated from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ as a Division 1 soccer player and pursued a career as a professional athlete prior to continuing her education. First obtaining a Master of Biomedical Science Degree at Rutgers University in Newark, NJ, she went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University College of Dentistry with honors. Following dental school, she completed her General Practice Residency at Hackensack University Medical Center where she had in-depth training in all facets of restorative dentistry with a focus on medically complex individuals.

Dr. Scholz is beyond excited to be a part of the Smile Today team! Her number one goal is patient comfort and care, while also providing quality dental treatment. In fact, you can often hear her singing (although not well), throughout the office to ensure a relaxed atmosphere for her patients. While not in the office, Dr. Scholz enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Michael, family, friends, and puppy, Javier!
